Kelly Kortman has been buying properties and turning them into vacation rentals since 2007. Many of the properties he’s purchased have required extensive renovations to allow them to be more fully functional as a vacation rental. For example, The Cabin at Eagle Creek required extensive renovations, paint, appliances, landscaping, a driveway, new decking so that a hot tub could be installed, an additional shower, additional sleeping spaces and additional rooms added for privacy. Kelly obviously saw early on the value of Leavenworth and the value of vacation rentals but also the value of making a property as nice as he possibly could. Some of the properties have limitations and you can only do so much but if it could be done, Kelly found a way and found the budget to do it. As a financial advisor and former real estate agent and as a former flight attendant who had done extensive travelling and who had stayed at Airbnbs around the globe he also enjoyed the amount of attention to detail that is required to make these properties uniquely beautiful and as functional as possible for the demographics he serves.
