The Chalet Renovations Before and After
The Chalet at Icicle Creek was purchased in 2014. The Chalet was a beautiful property from the get-go, however much was done to improve the property anyway to make it one of the nicest properties in Leavenworth (at least in my humble opinion) The first thing we did was turn the garage into a living space so that the house could be divided up into two rentals. We added a kitchen, living room with fireplace, dining area, cozy bedroom and a half bath to the left side of the house. Then in the spring of 2015 we added a swimming pool, king size hot tub and a volleyball court. We’ve worked super hard on the landscaping, we just painted the outside and portions of the inside and of course over time we find ourselves buying new furnishings, carpets, appliances and so forth. In 2016 We fenced in the back part of the property and added a firepit area and again like all of our other properties we went over every inch of the space to try to perfect it to the best of our ability. We are really proud of the Chalet at Icicle Creek.
We purchased Icicle for $495,000 in 2014 and put about $250,000 into the property not to mention all the expenditures and maintenance along the way, Icicle just recently appraised for 1.85 million dollars. It is a beautiful place and people come year after year to stay again and again.
